Her diverse heritage comprises Irish Italians, Swedish, Italians, French, Ukrainians and Irish. Jacqueline is her twin sister, and is an actor. Jill was proficient in a variety of languages throughout her childhood. This comprised Italian, French, and Spanish. Jill began to become interested in acting at the age of twelve. In 2007, she received the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female leading actress in a drama series" to honor her role on the show. She was married to another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000.
