Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character in TV shows like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Additionally, she is known for her roles in films that she's appeared on, including "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack is the daughter of a clinical therapist, and owner of an ice cream shop. McCormack comes from a family that is not entertainment-based. She was a student at Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the separation of her parents in 1990 she enrolled at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, eventually graduating with a bachelor's degree in comparative arts. Her career began at 12 years old when she appeared in the stage production of 'Amahl and the Night Visitors an operetta for Christmas. In the course of her work in the theatre, she eventually became a part of television and film. McCormack today is acknowledged as the most well-known and most versatile performers. McCormack is the wife of director/producer Michael Morris and has three children.
